Cardscape Creations ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use cardscapecreations.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Order information: when you make a purchase or subscribe, we collect your email address and, if provided, your first name.
Payment information: payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card number or other full payment details on our servers.
Giveaway entries: if you enter our monthly giveaway, we collect the email address you provide.
Newsletter sign-up: if you opt in — through the site footer, a pop-up, or after purchase — we collect your email address to send you our newsletter.
Reviews: if you submit a product review, we collect the text you write, your name (or the name you choose to display), and any photos you choose to upload.
Rewards & referrals: if you earn store credit or refer a friend, we keep a record tied to your email address — your store credit balance, your personal referral code/link, and (if you were referred) which referral code brought you here.
Usage data: we use privacy-friendly analytics (Rybbit) and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as pages viewed and general interactions. This does not include payment details.

How We Use Your Information

To fulfill orders and deliver digital downloads via secure, single-use links.
To manage and bill monthly subscriptions through Stripe.
To send order confirmations, subscription updates, and — only if you've opted in — giveaway, newsletter, or promotional emails.
To send our newsletter (at most about once a week) highlighting products and sales, if you've subscribed — every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also request removal directly.
To display your review (and any photos you attach) on the relevant product page once it's approved, and — if your review includes a photo — to send you a one-time reward link for a free file.
To track and apply store credit you've earned, and to credit whoever referred you (or whoever you referred) when a qualifying order completes.
To operate, secure, and improve the Site.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's session storage and cookies (not third-party ad-tracking cookies) to remember things like whether you've already seen a pop-up this visit, whether you've claimed a one-time cart discount, or whether you arrived via a referral link — this data stays in your browser and is not sold or shared. Your wishlist and recently-viewed items live entirely in your browser's local storage; we never see that list unless you choose to submit your email for a sale-alert notification. Stripe and our analytics providers may set their own cookies as part of processing payments or measuring Site usage. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site, currently:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
Rybbit / Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics.

Data Retention

We retain order, subscription, and rewards (store credit/referral) records as long as needed to provide support, honor download links and unspent credit, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your Choices

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your subscription confirmation email or the manage subscription page. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter email. To request deletion of your personal information, use our instant self-service deletion (an email-verified link that shows exactly what's on file and removes it immediately) or contact us at [email protected] for anything the self-service tool can't handle.

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and — under CCPA/CPRA — to know whether we "sell" or "share" it (for the record: we don't, and we don't use targeted-advertising or data-broker services). Use our Data Request page to submit any of these requests — we respond within 30 days, usually much sooner, and may ask you to verify the email address the request concerns first.

Deletion requests submitted through our self-service tool are processed immediately: reviews, wishlist sale-alert signups, abandoned-cart records, your store-credit/referral balance, and your newsletter subscription are removed outright. Paid order and subscription records are anonymized rather than deleted outright — we scrub your name and email from them but keep the underlying transaction for the legal/accounting retention period described above. A record kept for fraud-prevention purposes (e.g. a chargeback or abuse ban) is not removed by a deletion request, consistent with our legitimate interest in preventing repeat abuse. Deleted data may also persist in routine backup snapshots for up to 30 days before fully clearing.

Payment & Security

We never see or store your full card number. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of certification available in the payments industry.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
